SSC GD Syllabus 2026; Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the SSC GD Syllabus 2026 at the official website www.ssc.gov.in along with the release of the SSC GD Notification 2025 PDF. Candidates appearing in the SSC GD Exam scheduled for February-April 2026 are advised to refer to the SSC GD Syllabus and Exam Pattern 2026 for their effective preparation strategy to ace the exam with a high score. SSC GD 2026 Selection Process

To qualify and be shortlisted for the vacancies, candidates must go through each stage of the selection process as detailed below. 

  1. Written examination (Computer Based): The CBT exam consists of 80 Multiple Choice Questions with 2 marks each and a negative marking of 0.25 marks. The duration to complete the exam is 60 minutes (1 hour) with no sectional timing.
  2. Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Standard Test (PST).
  3. Medical Test- The last stage of the selection process, which is mandatory to check whether the selected candidates are medically fit or not. After the medical test, the candidates shortlisted will have to appear for document verification.

SSC GD Constable Exam Pattern 2026

  • SSC GD Constable Tier 1 exam will be conducted in an online mode, a multiple-choice-based exam.
  • The CBT test consists of 4 sections with 80 questions.
  • The total time duration is 60 minutes.
  • There is also a negative marking of 0.25 marks for every incorrect answer.
  • The Computer-Based Examination (CBE) is conducted in English, Hindi and 13 Regional Languages viz. Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Konkani, Malayalam, Manipuri, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu.

SSC GD Syllabus 2026

This section will include Analytical aptitude and the ability to observe and distinguish patterns will be tested through questions principally of a non-verbal type.  This component may include questions on the following topics:

This section will assess the candidate’s general awareness (GK) of the day-to-day activities around. The candidate must have a vast knowledge of current affairs (events) and of such matters of everyday observations and experience in their scientific aspect as may be expected of any educated person.

The test will also include questions relating to India and its neighbouring countries, especially about

The topics that are covered in this section will be at a high school level. This section requires proper practice with speed and accuracy of solving tricky questions. The mathematical problems will be from the following topics.
